As a Data Analyst you will be undertaking research and quantitative data analysis of complex datasets across this portfolio – synthesising complex information from a range of sources to support the Directorate’s priorities and the strategic management of data linkage projects.

In this role you will be working on impactful statistics, reporting of data projects and data modelling on our new program. You will be partnering with other areas of the Directorate and utilise technology to model the impact of reforms and policy decisions.

This role will also see you constructing databases and reporting frameworks as well as responding to ad-hoc data requests, ultimately supporting the development of policy, funding models, programs, performance reporting and other Directorate priorities.

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience with a strong focus on data management or quantitative analysis.

Position:   Automation Test Engineer

Term:          Contract Full Time

As a Automation Test Engineer you will:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of frameworks for the automation of native mobile app testing (iOS and Android) under the broad direction of the Engineering Manager.
  • Collaborate with API developers to define and implement API schema validation and contract tests at a highly advanced level.
  • Develop an understanding of systems requirements in order to inform the development and implementation of an automation strategy with appropriate script dependencies, assumptions and constraints.
  • Actively promote and provide training, support and guidance to product teams on automation techniques.
  • Analyse very complex software systems and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve design, including governance measurement to ensure applications perform to specification.

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Experience testing native mobile apps on Android and iOS test automation experience using XCTest/Espresso/Appium or any other mobile automation framework.

Position:   Admin and Data Assistant

Term:        Part Time (3 days per week)

  • Monitor/Organise multiple shared mailboxes (triaging incoming emails, answering where possible, assigning to team members and following up if required).
  • Manage new user requests (Request missing approvals, follow-ups, update records).
  • Send out supplier communications based on existing templates (reminders, follow ups, questions regarding data submissions).
  • Develop first drafts responding to requests from senior public servants (based on a combination of defined process + independent thinking).
  • Review documents for consistent reporting (primarily numerical, sense checking or replicating analysis or reaching out to authors for clarifications).
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests.
