Synopsis

The soft-skills course provides neurodivergent individuals skills and insights into working in a professional work environment.

The course focuses on key areas including managing day-to-day tasks, improving communications, problem solving in the workplace and dealing with challenging client situations.

The course uses practical examples, exercises and individual support to become more self-sufficient in your career and confident to recognise when you may need to request accommodations.

Aims

The aim of this course is to empower neurodivergent individuals with essential skills for success in professional work environments.

Learning Objectives

  • Enhance communication, task management, and problem-solving abilities tailored to the specific needs of neurodivergent individuals.
  • Develop self-sufficiency and confidence, enabling participants to recognise when accommodations may be necessary and empowering them to request and utilize them effectively.

Audience

Neurodivergent individuals seeking to enhance their professional soft skills to excel in the workplace, whether they are currently employed or seeking employment opportunities.

Eligibility

  • Identify as neurodivergent.
  • Seeking employment or already in employment.
  • Able to attend online classes for the full duration of the program.
  • Proficient in English literacy and numeracy.

Enrolment

  • Start date – Wednesday 5th Jun (for 14 weeks).
  • Start time – 6pm
  • Finish time – 7.30pm
  • Cost – $349 ex GST.
