Xceptional wins $1 Million Google.org Impact challenge!

Did we really win the Google Impact Challenge award earlier this month or was it all a dream? Luckily we have photos to prove it!

On the 1st November, at a pitch event packed with supporters and friends, Xceptional won $1 Million as a judge’s pick! Alongside us were fellow $1 Million judge’s pick winners Humanitix, and Hireup. Huge congratulations to the $1 Million People’s Choice winner Orange Sky! All the 10 finalists are doing amazing work to impact lives across Australia and we don’t envy the judges their hard decisions. Thankfully, the remaining View the 6 finalists each receive $250,000 towards their valuable work.

This funding will fast-track development of our anxiety-reducing recruitment app. We look forward to sharing more details with you as the project develops. We hope that by reducing anxiety and testing for job-related skills the Xceptional app will empower autistic employees to succeed. Likewise, we aim to help employers embrace the benefits of neurodiversity in order to make a massive dent in autism unemployment.

Lastly, we want to say a huge thank you to all who supported our campaign! Although we didn’t win the People’s choice award the judges noticed how engaged and supportive our community was. They know, as do we, that we cannot do this alone.
